Princess and Moe came to visit for a week. It was a lot of fun, and we miss having them around. M can speak in full sentences now that she has practiced all week with her cousins. This is Aunt Sarah's "Cinnamon Toast Cake".

Not the happiest guy. He and Moe looked real cute dressed in the same Sunday clothes. Thanks for the outfit Alyosha.
This is Moe exercising. We had several gymnastic lessons in the basement.
Princess always wanted to hold Abram. She was very sweet. Mary still doesn't care to hold him, but she always yells "Baby's crying!" whenever he is. Even if I'm holding him. (Very helpful.)

We're not plumbers.

Sprung a leak this weekend. Didn't know about it til Monday night. Kinda ironic, but we lost just about every remaining book. Dan says they all look well used now, but when you can't separate the pages or the ink has run through so you can actually read between the lines, I doubt they are salvageable.
On a happier note, we have insurance and what a blessing it will be. The adjuster and restoration company came today. 3 more weeks til we can get carpet, but maybe we'll be in by Easter.

The extent of our belongings, wholly exposed and soaked.

My poor cook books.

Other things to be thankful for:
the new carpet wasn't in
hadn't moved the washer and dryer yet
didn't order carpet for the storage room, now insurance will pay for it
brothers and parents who can haul your stuff across town multiple times
it was CLEAN water, not sewage
i'm getting a new-2-me phone

A work in progress ...

There have been a few requests for "before" and "after" pictures.
These are a few of the house- thanks for all the help.

Work.

I never knew that painting a house was so much work. We have had tons of help, and worked for two days and we aren't even close to finishing.
I am so thankful that school was out for Spencer and Sam, they are great. Dallin and Hannah even helped and Dallin brought a crew of his friends. I'll post pictures soon of all the work they are doing. Sam said we were the cheapest employers ever; we are paying them with pizza and sandwiches.
My dad put in a bunch of lights today, I love them, and Bonita has watched the children so I could work. My mom worked on the Master Bedroom today and I'm in love with it. It is exciting to see some things come together.
I am so thankful to live close to family, and I'm even more grateful they are willing to come help.
Thanks!

Phun with Photobooth

Mary and Amy have been sending me photo updates during the work day. Everyone loves it.

I showed this last one to a new guy at work when I said I had a two year old. Great reaction.
